help with SB 303

Greetings greenies: I picked up a SB 303 at a recent hamfest. Overall it
looks sound. However, I am not having much success getting it working. I
have a manual. However, I am a tube guy who is not too swift with solid
state rigs. I have cleaned all the switches and plugs I can think of.
Some of the voltages were not right, but after I checked and replaced
the main power diodes, voltages are right on. The rig is passing and
amplifying audio from the high side of the audio control pot. So
whatever is bad is upstream from the AF pot.
        Maybe someone who is familiar with this receiver would be willing to
set up a sked with me to offer some tips on fixing it. It would be nice
to use the ham bands to communicate about fixing a fine old set like
this. The way it is constructed, the test points are a bit unobvious to
me.
        Have iron, will solder.
