HW-8 Selectivity

Gang,

Recently acquired a HW-8 that has a minor problem.  It works great but there is a problem with the "selectivity" function.  In the wide position it works fine but when it is in the narrow position it mutes the rx.  Anyone seen this happen before or know the fix for it?  TIA es 73......
