You can use a relay for PTT to keep 120V away from solidstate rigs.Use 12V coil.
Grab +12V from solidstate rig ,of if radio puts out +12V PTT you got it made.
I have done this for many amps, works great.
Most solid state rigs have EXT PTT line that shorts to ground. But can't take more than +12V and a few MA.
Also SB 200 should be tuned for input VSWR to under 1.5.
The input coils are ADJ.the book does not state this.
Most SB 200 amps run 2:1 SWR input.Fine for tube rigs.
but solid state rigs doen't load correctly and drop off drive power.
You can use a tunner on input side of amp.
Best to get input coils down the best you can.
Even a 100 or 150 ohm 2watt resistor across coil will
help lower input VSWR,
I have ran a SB 200 with ICOM 735 and outher rigs with no problem.Works great and talked all over the world!!
Good luck,
Bob
