You were very lucky.
Next time, I'd suggest taking your time and enjoying the process.
Cleaning with qtips, bits of towel in forceps and needle nosed pliers
gets you very acquainted with the innards of your rig... and allows you
a good assay of potential problems.
Dishwasher soap is extremely caustic.... and the risk is you make
a dirty radio a parts radio.
Take your time and enjoy the trip through your radio!
