As far as power handling capability between the RCA and BNC
connector systems, the RCA recepticals have ceramic or Teflon
insulators (what does your RCA "plug" use ?), the BNC connectors
I've used all have Teflon insulation. The smallest airgap in the
RCA is approx .045" on the business end of the receptical,
approx 070" at the solder end, and approx .040" inside (on the
other side of the Phenolic). The BNC receptical, on the other
hand, has approx .130" as the minimum airgap. As far as current,
the BNC connector pins are no smaller than the coax core of the
few feet of RG-58U you would be using.
