I have 2 Belcom 2 m amplifiers sold by Heath as part of a under-dash deck
that the Belcom 2m HT (greenish khaki color, thumbwheel frequency entry at
top) plugged into. They were working when last tested, but I no longer have
facilities to test currently.
These amps were manually switched, but included schematic (2 amps, one
schematic) shows parts values to effect carrier operated relay (COR). I
think all that is needed is a 3 pf capacitor. I modified one proveriously
per this schematic and it worked nicely.
Per schematic, needs 9V control voltage in addition to nominal 13.8 V. 9V
was provided by chassis (not available). Power connections are 1/8" push-on
lug, and rf connections are mini plug in connector - don't know what type it
is.
Amplifier are open frame pc boards mounted on a small similarly-sized
heatsink, maybe 2" x 5" x 1/2".
Nominal 5W in 25 out, worked with high & low power level of mating HT...max
input is somewhat higher (8W?), but I no longer have the manual.
Had tried to get $25 each on eBay, but they are all appliance ops there,
aren't they?
$25 for both including schematic, postage additional.
