Heath scope

     I have a Bell & Howell (made by Heathkit) 5Mhz triggered scope that was working and has lost the vertticle trace.  The verticle board uses +9V,-9V and ground.  The +9V measures 2.24V and the -9V is fine.  If I disconnect the +9V from the verticle board, the +9V measures fine from the power supply.   What is likely to be dragging the voltage down?
