SB-101 cw tone

hello all,

on my sb-101, while listening to a cw tone, if the strength in audio and
signal decreases, the pitch of the cw tone increases. also, i have been
using (only about 20 watts) the rig to do psk and it works great, however,
on the exchage, my signal is drifting and never seems to level out. i have
almost ruled out the lmo because it does it with my sb-640 also, unless both
lmo's have the same problem. or, is there a common circuit both lmo's share?
i do not remember this happening with my sb-102. is it because the lmo is
not solid state in the 101 as opposed to the 102?

so, can someone give me a place to start. i hope to have the manual for
the rig in a few days (tnx m kassay) and want to get the old girl back in
shape. i just need someone to "get me in the ballpark."

oh, by the way, i need a manual for a sb-640 external lmo. found one of
those the other day (happy dance!!)

73 and merry christmas to all.
