Transmitter Power Output

Gentlemen / Ladies

    Just a general question for those who have or had experience in working
on the Ole Green Treasures. What would one look for to improve or bring up to
specs the output power on the old transmitting units, other than replacement
of checking the tubes.  I realize that this is a pretty broad question, but
for the Novice Bench Tech, what would be the top 5 avenues to travel.  Happy
New Year for Indep, Mo.
