Another option which I used on a rear foot of my SB-200 is to use a u
throated nut sheet metal nut which slides over the sheet metal and gives you
a surface to bite to.
Similar to a tinnerman nut they come in sizes for sheet metal and machine
screws.
Available at any hardware store or home depot.
