Cable no prob.

It must be a local thing. We had Earthlink here in Lexington KY for 3 years
without a single busy signal or dropped line. Then we went to Verizon DSL
with great trepidation after reading all the horror stories. They sent us
the modem and a kit; I installed it, called the ISP and within 10 minutes
was up and running. Had only one brief outage in the 14 months we've had it.
It's great! Meanwhile the cable company can't seem to get our street
wired...after talking about it for 2 years.

WOW! That sure beats ours. We have been trouble free for about 6-8 weeks
now, but
Time Warner used to regularly go down from about Spetember through January
here.
Sometimes for DAYS AT A TIME!

Time-Warner/RoadRunner would NEVER let us know what was going on
and we could never get them to answer their phone.

To their credit they have improved a lot lately.
