DX-100 Question

Did the DX-100 panel have a clear lacquer coating on it?  Mine is very
yellowed and although I am a smoker its always been that way. I have owned it
since 1967 and remember how it looked when I bought it. Any Ideas? the
underneath of the chassis looks to be clear coated but hasn't yellowed.
