Thanks Charlie (KC0EH), Glen (K9STH), Al (WA9HSL), and Bruce (W6TOY) for the
information you guys sent me. Now I know a little more about what I have and
what the possible problems are.

It is rare that you have any chance of knowing a rig's history, but I do
happen to know that the DX-35 I have was heavily used for years as an
experimental frequency generator in a laboratory environment. While the case
is a bit rough, I'd suspect that if it had a grid voltage problem it
wouldn't have been in use for so long. If someone has any information on
what that fix would have been, I'll know a bit more what to look for
specifically. At a glance, the radio has been slightly modified, but I won't
know the extent until I sit down and scan the wiring diagrams. In other
words, I honestly haven't had a chance to check it out, but I'll let you
know as I run through the "checks" that are in the manual I downloaded last
night. It will be on the back burner for a little bit, since most of my
"free" time is going into building the hutch for my shack.

It is certainly an interesting transmitter, definitely one I plan to hang on
to. Pictures coming soon...

73's to you all (and the rest of the list)
