tube glue?

Ken, I've had the best of luck with so-called "Krazy Glue", or, "Super
Glue"...
You simply apply it along the perimeter of the base, right where it meets
the bottom of the envelope---but not too much!
Gently squeeze the applicator holding the glue, as you rotate the tube. The
glue will actually "wick" its way through the "joint" of the glass/base,
creating a quick, permanent, invisible bond. Works absolutely great! (any
excess should be wiped off the surface of the base/envelope with a clean,
soft cloth).
...And yes, it's impervious to the heat generated by the tube when it's in
operation.
Try it! I know you'll be extremely pleased.
