Good Evening,

I have acquired an SB-610 Monitor Scope, that is currently tuned for
the Heath IF, 3395 Khz. I want to retune it to 455 Khz. IF. I need the
40-746 Coil. I have the 40-748 Coil and the 40-602 coil to trade. I will be
glad to purchase the 40-746 coil if anyone has built this unit for the Heath
IF and still has the extra coil.

An option is rewinding the 40-746 coil. If anyone can provide me with
the approximate number of turns required for 455 Khz I would go that route.
My guess would be doubling the number of turns would reduce the frequency by
about half, or 1600 KHz and doubling again would bring it to about 800 Khz.
A bit less than doubling again should get pretty close. Am I on the right
track? Would the maximum length of the coil be about the length of the slug?
Maybe I would need a longer slug with all those added turns. Would a longer
slug increase the total inductance?

I will appreciate all assistance offered, Thank You.

Talk to you later,

                                     Bill
