Heathkits from hell

When I started working for Heath, I was a service tech working on Ham
gear. The ABSOLUTELY worst construction job I encountered was done by a
college professor with a Masters in EE! It was a GR-43 "TransOceanic SWL
Receiver" and there wasn't a good solder connection in the entire unit.
Leads were shorting to each other as most parts were not mounted close to
the pc boards, but "flying" about them. Point to point wiring SCARED me!

Wish I had a camera at work that day; it would be THE classic photo.

things!
