SB 300 project

Greetings fellow Leprechauns:
I’m working on a SB 300. Would like to get some suggestions from the
experts. I did a lot of basic clean up and checking, rebuilt power
supply, put in some tubes, cleaned switches and pots. I seem to have the
right voltages, at least as far as a spot check reveals. I can pass
signals at the IF frequency all the way through, but I don’t get any
station signals, or signals from my signal generator set as a substitute
for a received station. I suspect this set has the classic “lack of
local oscillator) problem. However, before I start working on the LMO or
Het Osc, it occurred to me that there might be some kind of plug needed
for the back panel, as in the SB 303, before it will play. The 303
requires a special resistor plug for the LMO OUT socket. Does the 300
need something like that? I been studying my book for the set, and so
far I don’t see it calling for any plug.
I have never worked on a LMO or a HET OSC. If I need to go into them,
What should I expect to see (I have a good Heathkit freq meter and a jim
dandy Heath OL-1 scope I built in highschool long ago — still works, but
is primitive). Many thanks for the expert advice.
