Parts on the side

Further to people selling parts and accessories separately, how about
taking apart a perfectly good working vintage amp and selling it piece
by piece(for example chassis, cage, electrolytic power supply
capacitor, bias resistors, tube sockets, power transformers, output
transformers). I have seen people do it for Dynaco equipment(for example
ST-70). That great equipment is worth more as parts than as a complete
unit. When is something worth more - dead or alive?:-). Only makes those
complete working units worth more as perfectly good ones are taken out
of circulation for parts.
