6CQ8 vrs 6EA8

   I've heard that using a 6CQ8 in place of the 6EA8
at V1 in the HW-101 will give more audio gain.
 I checked in my tube manual and the 6EA8 actually
has more transconductance than the 6CQ8, has
anyone actually done this mod to verify the results?

Tube Spec's:

           Triode section              Tetrode section

6EA8      8500 umhos                   6400 umhos

6CQ8     8000 umhos                   5800 umhos
