Good morning. I would like to say a big thanks to all those hams who
took the time to help me out with my HW-100 problem. I have tried to
respond to each of you individually, but if I have missed you, please
accept my apologies and my thanks. The problem turned out the be the
same problem Heath reported most often on non-operating rigs returned
for service; poor soldering. The wire connecting the high side of the
carrier section of the Mic/Carrier control to the bias supply was so
loose in its circuit board hole that once I had found it, I could just
pull it out. A little hot solder and the control now works just fine.
The rig still has a few problems and I know where to come if I need
help!!

Again, thanks for all the assistance. This is a great resource populated
by great folks!!
