PEC's are circuit elements made on a single substarte from discrete
components. A couple of companies sold them as standard blocks, but as I
remember the vast majority were custom. They were used in many TV's and also
in some custom electronics such as Heath stuff. They were never supper
popular. I worked for an electronics distributor as a kid (70's) and I don't
remember selling more than a few (our sales were in the $1-2 million range in
the 70's so we sold lots of stuff).
