Heath AT-1 Meter

I have two AT-1's --------- the first has the "original" meter.  The little
metal one with the flapping needle that many folks soon replaced.   The other
one has a plastic meter, Shure I think, thats obviously larger and a better
meter.   The question is: Was the Heath AT-1 sold with the plastic meter and
if so, what year was the change from the metal one made?

Any assistance is appreciated.
