Tube top caps

You have to solder the wire coming out of the top of
the tube to the plate cap.  Some type of cement might
help hold the cap in place after it is soldered.

However, I have repaired quite a few power tubes that
have had the plate cap come off by just removing the
old solder, cleaning the end of the wire from the top
of the tube, and then resoldering the wire to the cap.

Never had tried to recement it in place.  Those tubes
have worked for years.
