Jpeg files can have various levels of compression on them. A good way to
reduce the size is to load the picture into Adobe Photoshop and resave it.
It asks you what kind of quality you want, and the file size will be
adjusted accordingly. You can often get 1M images down to 100K or less that
way.

Thanks to the people that offered advice on selecting resolution, reducing
file size, etc. Several of you said that 1.5M sounded awfully large for a
JPEG file. Well, that's what the software reported as it saved the files,
but I just looked at the actual file sizes, I see that they're only about
250K or less! Maybe one disc will be enough for everything after all!
