Heathkit Kits

Hey all-
I know it's a longshot, but if there was a source for all the 'uncommon'
parts, you could make your own heathkit radios. Most of the boards are
easily made with the advent of laser jet printers, and the only tough
components are the chokes, coils and crystals. (OK so transformers and
tube sockets aren't exactly all out there as well!) Anyway, we could see
if there's experts out there (on the list) that can provide a way to do
this easily. Like metalworkers for all the chassis and other parts.
Between the 700 or so of us, I'll bet we could take a 101 manual and
create a new one from scratch. Just an idea. Heck, most of us are
Americans- and we're world-famous for our tinkering. No one else can
tinker like an American.
