Justin,
If you're looking to invent something, why not combine
a version of a 600 - 800 watt amp using 811A tubes
(like the Ameritron) with a built-in autotuner. I'd
like the convenience of an 87A/Icom/Yaesu at a price
point of about $1,500. You could sell a lot of 'em.
One to me, anyway. I haven't got $5,000 for an amp.
