HL-5400

Just got a mint 5400 but having trouble with the relay circuit. I Plug the cable in from the Kenwood and to put Amplifier in the in position of SW 5,it keys relay and loses the signals to receiver and standby current is visible. When sw-5 is in the Apmplifier Out pos.the kenwood receives normally Anybody had any of these problems,? thanks
