Offing Old Heathkit Stuff

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Between my basement and a recent SK auction it seems I have too much old
stuff here. I'm debating selling it in a forum like this or doing something
like EBAY. My personal problem is the debate of parting out for $ vs.
selling to folk who will use or fix and use. All of these units worked when
removed from service, but that was over 20 years ago.

Anyway, I've an SB-620 (that doesn't have the two tubes 6AT6 and 12AU7 in
the sockets I can see in the back and I cannot begin to wonder why unless I
needed them for something else at some time . . .). I remember using this on
at least two different 6M rigs two solar cycles, and something in the back
of my cob-web encrusted brain tells me I modified or changed some coils
and/or capacitors to adapt it to a different IF frequency than the original
Heathkit (If I remember, it was a Drake I was adapting it to), but I don't
remember if I put it back to original Heath (I did still have the Heath 6M
rig when all this stuff went off-line). Manuals look like they are about 5
bucks on the web, or free for partials. This unit is real clean physically,
y'know, paint and such. I can digicam it and forward email sized pictures if
desired. 916 869A is the series number.

Another unit is a Heathkit HW-101. This was from a local SK, so I don't have
any real history. It's kinda tuff looking externally, but despite a pile of
dust on the circuit boards I don't see any corrosion, and when I lit it up
the ol' fart came up working. It was, of course, kinda weak, but I did do a
cupla quick qso's on ssb on 75, 40, and 20m. It has the original hand
microphone. I used the HP-23-A AC supply that came with it. The HW-101 has
the original manual, but there was no manual for the HP-23-A. Also, the 400
Hz CW filter is in there and working. There is an extra (non original)
potentiometer and toggle switch mounted through the front panel to the left
of the meter that I'm told was a mod for RIT, but it didn't seem to do
anything when I tried it.

Finally, for now, there's an HO-10 Monitor Scope. There's a tube socket on
the inside labeled 1V2 that's empty. Again, I cannot imagine why I would
have pulled that tube, but . . .

OK, there you have it. I also have some old Drake and Hallicrafters, and odd
things like Autek and MFJ, so if any of you know of lists for those, lemme
know please.
