AR15,1500,1515....

There seems to be some confusion regarding these units...The AR-15 was a
much older design...no similarity with the 1500', 1515's...The 1500' was
the "blacked dial" receiver that was so famous...if any one receiver put
Heathkit on the audiophile's map, it was this one...the 1515 had the
same--almost identical--amplifier, but digital readout for the
receiver.  The 1515's had two versions--the AA-1515, an
amplifier/preamp, and the AR-1515, a true receiver.  Both of these are
rather rare, as they were priced well above the Kenwood/Pioneer
competition of the time.  The 1500/1515's were rated at 70watts
RMS/channel--from what I remember the AR-15 was about 50...
