a new virus

I work as a Computer Engineer, and the sophistication of newer Trojans and
Worms are getting scary.

Unfortunately, there are more hoaxes out there than real viruses. Check
www.symantec.com or www.mcaffee.com if you wish to find out if a virus is
real or not. As we are all on a Email related list, we are all vulnerable.

GET GOOD ANTIVIRUS SOFTWARE!

It is the only answer. If you believe an Email is "dodgy", delete it
instantly - alot easier than trying to remove them, which is getting harder
all the time. Anti-virus software just tells you it's there, and can't
remove it - you have to do it manually and the knowledge to do this is
usually above the average user.

Especially watch for MODEM traffic when you are basically sitting idle or
when Web access seems extremely slow.

Subject: a new virus

I recently saw a message from a couple of this reflector's members
concerning someone sending out email that was supposedly from their
computers.

There is an article concerning a new virus at www.qrz.com

Everyone may want to read the article.
