Hope someone can ID this for Tom, and nothing personal with the following
technical correction...just bothers me to see a misnomer propagated thru a
question.
So, apologies to Tom, no offense intended, and to anyone who already knows,
hit the "Delete" key...
The term "balum" has been floating around for years, but there "ain't no
such thing"...and it's often pronounced "BAY-lum",
What it's referring to is a balun, pronounced "BAHL-uhn". It comes from the
concatenation of terms "bal", short for balanced, and "un", short for
unbalanced....it adapts a balanced transmission line or load to an
unbalanced one or vice versa...
