Terrorism Comes To North America!

I know it's a Heathkit list, but I didn't start this discussion. I do feel
compelled to add my 2 cents worth, though. Hit delete if you don't want to
read it!

With all due respect, you are already IN a world war, one that's been raging
since Adam lost a rib. The only problem is that the enemy today is an
ideology, not a country. It's as strong as our belief in freedom, democracy
and tolerance. No bomb in the world will extinguish it, though it may delay
the next onslaught.

We are a melting pot of many races and religions (in Islamic eyes,
infidels -- non-believers). Islamic law dictates that Muslim life is more
sacred than that of non-believers. For example, a Muslim who kills a
non-believer is not necessarily put to death. The reverse is not true. They
do not share our belief in the sanctity of all life. This is bigotry, plain
and simple. (What better time to point it out to them than during an
international conference on racism?)

A holy war has been declared and it must be joined.

But not with bombs. That only begets more violence - kind of like that
classic Star Trek episode "Day of the Dove", in which an alien entity got
stronger as long as it had hatred to feed on. What is needed is a way to
show the Muslims that Islamic law, based by later writers on
misinterpretations of the Koran, has twisted the words of Muhammed just as
Christians (can you say "Northern Ireland"?) have twisted Jesus' statements
and Jews (and Christians) have twisted the meaning of the tablets Moses
brought down, all to prove that their "way" is the only right one.

When Hitler tried to exterminate an "inferior" race, the world united to
stop him. If the world recognizes this current hatred as another
manifestation of the same thing, perhaps it can do so again.

We now return you to your previous war, already in progress...
