impedance measuring

The mike impedance is another issue altogether. Mikes, like phono
cartridges, have a certain impedance that they "prefer" to work into. It's
a value that gives them the flattest response and lowest distortion.
Without running a performance sweep on every possible load, there's really
no way to tell what the impedance should be. About the only way I can think
of would be to look at the resistor inside the "MIC" input of some
amplifier. That's probably pretty close.
