VTVM question

Greetings to all

Heath did make a retrofit kit for the vtvm's that eliminated the 1.5 volt
battery and used a DC supply from inside the vtvm but I do not have the
details of its construction.  Maybe someone on the list has the paperwork.

I do have a copy of an article from page 72 of April, 1971 issue of
Electronics World that shows such a mod using a diode, two transistors, a
zener, one resistor and several caps.  This only supplies the 1.5 vdc and I
have NOT checked it out in my IM-18.  I will furnish a copy for an SASE.
