Simpson VOM & Manual for Heath Portable Digital Multimeter IM2215

Hello all,  I have acquired a Simpson 262 series 3 VOM. I would like see if
it works.  I opened it up and things look OK, nothing melted and no corroded
batteries always a good sign.  Now I have to find what batteries it uses and
which end goes where.  I went to the Simpson web site, but it wasn't listed.
They might have an archived manual they would copy for $25, I would rather
use the money for something else.
   I also have the manual for a Heath Portable Digital Multimeter IM2215 I
don't have the meter, but I would like to make the manual available free to
all who the information.  It is about 6" x 8" and 89 pages, it would take me
a long time to scan it and forever to send it with my dial up service.  I
think if someone would promise to make it into a PDF file and post it free
