This is a top quality HF transceiver as I recall. Unless it has T setion missing. The MICOM line had superb filters, very high stability beyond any ham set (10 Hz, -20 to +50 C, except first 12 chan ver. MICOM was 20 Hz, -30 to +60 C). MICOM -S is synth. 2-18 MHz and 2-30 MHz versions, Micom -X is free access (program from front panel) 2-30 MHZ. Best MARS/marine/CAP and supplemental Ham radio around. Least expensive ver. sold for $1800, Micom-X for $5000 or so. Anytime you see one (or its Triton-HF clone) for a few hundred its a terrific bargain. Far outclasses KWM-2 and any Kenwood type radio in rcvr desense, intermod, adj chan selectivity, stability, 3 IM, and Xmt is 125 watts but with mild compression has talk power of a normal 250 watt unit. I have seen hams pass them up as they did not know what they were (like sort of like a MOCOM-70 with a dash mount front panel). Thought I would take this op. to tell fellow GB'ers about this great unit as the Ham Fest season is upon!
