Receiver for use with Heath Apache, TX 1

Have a nice Apache coming to my ham shack.  While I do have an SB 301 receiver, thought I would check and get opinions on a good receiver that may do better than what I have.  Availability of a good one and would it be affordable.  Might even trade my fine SB  301 towards a better unit to use.  Your comments please.
