Hello, Floyd and All,
I don't know of the availability of Heath's radio control tachometer, but, as a
newbie in the field of R/C myself, I found two modern and
relatively inexpensive LCD handheld tachometers in the Tower Hobbies
catalog. Their URL: http://www.towerhobbies.com for $35 and $40 each.
I plan to get one of them to check the calibration of the tachometer in my
homebuilt airplane, a Van's RV-6 kitplane (210 mph, 360 cubic inch, two place
seating, all metal, low wing, canopied sport plane... and hand made by yours
truly in only 2500 hours, 15,000 rivets, and less money than your average
bubbamobile! Bragging mode off, now. Seriously, I think either of these
handheld tachometers are useful for a number of event counting needs.
