Ken,
Don't think I'm ready to be an Elmer but did repair/ restore one of
these last year. Had to sub for the transformer. Results in
pictures and some repair history and other info are on my Boatanchor
Pix web page.
Unless you have a converter, you will be limited to the nominal 455 Khz IF.
