I finally made an inquiry to the person owning this item and had them check
for a blue and white label. This is what he said in part and maybe a old
employee can shed some light.
"Hello, the numbers ar difficult to read but: 11W-100 921 series 2D/63 All
the numbers are on the tuner section, the other part has no numbers I can
see,but it`s made from the same model chassis and case and is part of the
rig, with a multi pin plug linking the two units.Although already clear in the
listing, this is for spares/repair though inside looks generally clean and
original.I think there may be something missing from the unit with the
exposed copper coils. There seems to be an empty space to the right of the
transformer, behind the coils. Not sure what went there, but there`s four bolt
holes with evidence that SOMETHING was fixed at that point.Apart from that,I
powered the units up briefly, and nothing went bang! or smelled of
burning. These must have been popular in the U.S.A. as loads of people have
asked me about it."
The 11W is likely an obvious HW but hard for me to beleive its a 100 series
because of meter placement. Without spending much more time with a
magnifying glass, it looks like a SB-100, SB-101 or SB-102 with a Hot Water
paint scheem. Is there any old employees who know/knew much of the export
modeling who can elaborate.
My next post reguarding "What is it ?" will be a consenses of replies received.
