SB220 Harbach mod. Trouble with mod

I have a Heath SB-220 which I have used for several
years with a Kenwood TS940s.  I bought a new xcvr, and
I decided to install the Harbach "soft-key
modification.  It seemed to work well the first time I
used it, but after that, anytime the antenna relay
cable is plugged into the xcvr, the relay is
energized, and the linear draws plate current.  I have
checked the cable, and it is wired correctly.  If it
is attached but not hooked to the TS940s, the linear
is in standby mode, but when it is plugged into the
xcvr, on it goes.

Any suggestions?
