Checking the 3-500 tubes

You can check the filaments for continuity, and for interelectrode shorts,
but you need to try them in an amp to see if they work properly.  Cathode
emission, presence of gas, etc... cannot be easily detected otherwise.

BTW, I am looking for 2)  good 3-500z's if you are selling...
