SB-401 dial

Greetings:

After working on many SB dial units, this is an easy fix. Remove the
main knob from the shaft. You will find a nut, lock washer and then a
washer over the shaft. Loosen up the nut so that the unit slides up and
down. Push the shaft in and out and you will find the rim of the dial.
The end of the shaft has a "squeeze" washer that will slip into the rim
of the dial. By holding it in place, you can find the right amount of
pressure that will turn the dial. Lock the nut, put the dial back and
your in business.
