TV Cabling / CAT 5

OK - this is a bit off topic - but - does anyone have any experience with
distribution amps for cable tv?? I am residing my 40 year old house (the 2nd
story has old wood that has had it!) and re-wiring for cable and CAT 5 into
each bedroom while I'm at it.  Any experience / suggestions would be
appreciated - I can olny do this ONCE!
