 I just sold mine but the first Heath packet unit was the HD-4040 which was made between 1985 and
1987.  Heath came out with another unit in 1987 called the HK-232 and it discontinued in 1991.
During the same time, they made the "Pocket Packet" or HK-21 TNC.

 The HK-3030 that you mentioned was a Terminal Interface for sending and receiving radioteletype
(RTTY).
