I have for sale a prototype of a high power voltage reducer. It will drop
your line voltage from today's 122 VAC to yesteryear's 115 VAC, when most
of the tube-type equipment was designed. If your filament and /or B+ is
running above the book value, you need to reduce the voltage to prolong
the life of your equipment. The voltage reducer is rated at 11 amps (1265
watts R) and will probably run all of your tube-type radios and test
equipment. It uses a transformer in a bucking circuit that does not waste
power in heat like a resistor. It is a pretty constant voltage regardless
of the load. It includes a voltmeter, switchable to either the input or
output. It weighs 19 pounds, packed. Price is $75 plus actual shipping
cost. Pictures, schematic available on request. Thank you.
