Part needed

I don't have the Autotrol part number....although I might be able to locate
it if I took the cover off again and searched for it. OK, while I was
thinking of it, I did it. I opened up the cover and looked for a model
number. I can't find anything I can point to as definitely being the part
number, other than the 420-636 that Heath stamped into the side of the gear
casing. I do find, though, on the white plastic backing (immediately behind
the brushes) the numbers U464 and 4D18 stamped in black ink on the white
plastic. It doesn't look like the sort of indelible ink that is normally
used when marking part numbers on parts, though, and looks more like
something that may have been used to denote lot numbers. I do note, though,
that all three of the motors in my SA-2500 have identical stampings on them,
so if others have the same markings it could indicate that this is what
we're looking for. Also, I haven't yet checked the Heathkit cross
list...has anyone else done this? According to the link that you sent me,
Greg, the author of that question indicated that Autotrol stated it was a 6
volt motor. I hadn't worked out the voltages or measured to see...I can if
need be, though. I also just got through sending a message to the author of
the other question, asking him if he found any info and inviting him to join
our quest. I'll be sure to update everyone if I hear anything else. Thanks
for the prodding in the right direction!

This can get rather
