Heathkit lovers, can you help Gary out on this one? See below.
Gary, I will post your request to a couple of the Heathkit mail
reflectors. Maybe someone will answer directly to you with a possible
solution.
The Heathkit SB-100 was my first SSB rig in 1966 just as I headed off to
college. It was a fun rig for me. Good luck on getting it fixed and on
becoming a ham as soon as you can.

I"m in NC and bought a nice looking Heathkit SB 100 with out powering it
up. Can you help me locate a High voltage Transfomer? the marking on top
are: 54-143 and under that : 606604 (date?) Looking to become a Ham as
soon as I can. I retired at the end of last year.
You have a nice Web site. Have any ideas for a new transformer?
