Lacing cables?

There's no great reason to not use waxed thread, but more commonly
you use a small diameter of pvc tubing. You can get pvc lacing from
Tandy Leather or similar places. The diagram mentioned should work.
You can also look in a public library for books on electronic
assembly methods for industry.
