DX-60 Chirp

Are you sure it's pin 8? Pin 8 of V1, a 6CH8 is the grid of the triode half
of the tube serving as a buffer. Supposed to have 56 volts at that point.

  The only time I've ever heard a DX-60 chirp was with
either a bad crystal, or it was being used on 10 meters
with the VFO.

 I placed two series connected 70 volt 5 watt zeners
from pin 8 of V1 to ground and mine keys clean
even on 10 with a VFO.
